Developer/CTA Interview
Sean Kozak
Director of Business Development, SharkIndicators
Program(s) Developed: Bloodhound Software
Interview Date: February, 2014
Interviewed by John F. Gallwas, Founder of Striker Securities, Inc.
SharkIndicators provide advanced 3rd party software add-on for retail and professional Ninja traders. Their flagship product "Bloodhound" allows traders, who do not have software coding capabilities, the ability to build a professional system trading platform. This revolutionary user friendly software not only automates trading signals, it also back-tests trading strategies, and all done with minimum of time as well as cost. Sean Kozak is a trader and in charge of Business Development for the company.
John Gallwas: Briefly introduce the SharkIndicators team and their responsibilities.

Sean Kozak: Jeremy Tang is the owner and Chief Architect of the business. Zac White is our Product Specialist and I am the Director of Business Development as well as a full time futures trader.

John Gallwas: What was the perceived need that caused the launch of SharkIndicators in April of 2012?

Sean Kozak: SharkIndicators was founded by Jeremy Tang who has been a system developer for over 20 years. On his quest he found a need to develop tools to evaluate the ethics of trading systems as so many were not worthy of risking real money. As a result, Bloodhound was born, initially for ourselves, but in April of 2012 to provide other traders with a low cost non-technical way to create, validate and implement customized trading programs.

John Gallwas: How has the market responded to the company's services?

Sean Kozak: Since our inception we have become one of Ninjatrader top tier partners. Our product has been well received because it is providing benefit to retail traders, both new and experienced, in addition to the trading system developer for up-grade or for new system development. We are pleased with our progress and we are expanding our staff to service the new demand.

John Gallwas: Describe Sharpindicators flagship product "Bloodhound"

Sean Kozak: Bloodhound is in our humble opinion "One of a Kind" because the user does not need a programming or technical background to operate the program. We are able to provide programming solution to traders that are cost-effective and are easy to use. Our product allows retail traders, developers and trading system developers the ability to:
  • Develop and automate trade signals
  • Back-test strategies and trading systems
  • Automate order entries
  • Use without software coding experience
  • Save expensive programming costs
  • Save time
John Gallwas: Profile the users of “Bloodhound” and what has been their feedback?

Sean Kozak: Most of the traders and developers that use Bloodhound are experienced, and tell us that they are pleased with the service. Recently we have notice an influx of start-up traders, who are finding that Bloodhound is a very cost effective and efficient way for a new trader to get started.

John Gallwas: Who should consider attending the educational seminar February 11th that is posted on the Sharkindicator website? (www.sharkindicators.com)

Sean Kozak: If you are looking to automate and/ or to back-test and validate your trading signals, then you definitely want to attend our free educational webinar to learn how Bloodhound can help. Simply go to (www.sharkindicators.com) and click on the "Webinar Sign Up" box.

John Gallwas: Is there anything in the "What's New" category to share with us at this time?

Sean Kozak: Up to this point, our main focus has been providing exceptional value and service to our current and new traders. However, even though our research is on-going, we are not able to disclose any future projects at this time.

There is a risk of loss in trading. It is the nature of commodity and securities trading that where there is the opportunity for profit, there is also the risk of loss. Commodity trading involves a certain degree of risk, and may not be suitable for all investors. Derivative transactions, including futures, are complex and carry the risk of substantial losses. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Please read additional risk matters on our web site, www.striker.com. It is important you understand all the risks involved with trading, and you should only trade with risk capital. This communication is intended for the sole use of the intended recipient.

About this report The information and links on this website are for informational purposes. The risk of trading can be substantial and each investor and/or trader must consider whether this is a suitable investment. Past performance, whether actual or indicated by simulated historical tests of strategies, is not indicative of future results. Striker is a member of the National Futures Association ("NFA"), the Managed Funds Association ("MFA"), and the National Introducing Broker Association ("NIBA"). Striker is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission ("CFTC"), and was formerly registered with the Securities Exchange Commission ("SEC"). The trading performance cited throughout our web site is based on actual trading history, unless otherwise noted. The starting account balance is based on the system developer recommendation. Striker tracks actual performance by recording and maintaining each trade ticket for each system generated. The performance information assumes that no additions or withdrawals have been made. The rate of return for all systems disclosed in the Striker Report is cumulative from the day the system actually started trading at Striker. We maintain a "life" track for all 3rd party systems. We do not necessarily base our records on any particular client account. No one particular customer has achieved these results. The percentage returns reflect inclusion of commissions and fees. The actual percentage gains/losses experienced by investors will vary depending on many factors, including, but not limited to: starting account balances, market behavior, the duration and extent of investor participation (whether or not a client takes all signals for a system) in the specified system and money management techniques.

Striker is a revolutionary concept in action: an international, professional team of brokers dedicated to trading only for clients. It bears repeating: unlike most other brokers, Striker does NOT trade futures for itself or any of its employees. This policy has been in place from the start in order to guarantee that our entire focus remains on the interests of our clientele. Striker believes that when brokers are allowed to trade for themselves (or have in-house trading practices) there is a strong potential for conflict of interest, as the broker may place more importance on his own trading activities (or that of his firm's) than on those of his clients. Finally, Striker has no financial ties to system developers, so there no bias or pressure on how we report the actual trading results posted in our client section. This section is designed specifically for Striker's clients, so they may audit their results on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis.
